Wedding Wednesday {Keep it Simple}

After nearly nearly three years of scouring for wedding inspiration every week, it’s becoming more and more difficult for something to catch the eye. The bouquets, dresses and invitation suites start to all blend together after awhile. That’s why I get excited when something stands out and seems fresh.

This vignette from McKenzie Powell Designs did exactly that for me. It stopped me in my interweb-scouring tracks.

The clean approach is bright and airy. There are literally air plants on the table setting {faves!}. The bridal inspiration is sophisticated and understated simultaneously.

The wonderful appeal of this inspiration may also be the pitch perfect natural light, but I can image the setting glowing in a haze of candles and cafe bulbs, can’t you?

And that’s what a wedding should really be all about – finding your own personal way to glow.

  1. Beautiful! Are those little kumquats, I see? Love the soft color palate and all that light!

  2. Those little kumquats sure add the perfect dainty dose of color without screaming spring! Love the light, soooo magical in imagery! She's a stunning bride!

  4. It is nice to when a wedding stands out. I have noticed that so many weddings are very similar. Not to say that they aren't beautiful – they are – but they do tend to blend together. I'm hoping mine is going to be a big surprise for everyone :)

  5. Perfect ten.

    Big hugs!

  6. I totally agree. For my wedding, I went with cream and orange for that pop of color. Everything was simple with a splash of sophistication. Needless to say, it was the best day of my life. I'd tell every gal planning a wedding to just go with her gut or like you said 'find your own personal way to glow.' Thanks for sharing x
