Happy {Gone to the Dogs} Weekend

Sometimes you have to recognize what’s truly important in life and get your priorities straight.
These two definitely know what they want, and aren’t afraid to ask for it! Oh, what we could learn from our four-legged friends…
So, this weekend I’m going to take their advice and focus on what matters most: family, friends, and hopefully a great brunch! Hey – food really matters people. There’s been so much going on around here behind the scenes – and is so close to being revealed, but it’s left me reeling. I’m just dying to catch you up! I can provide one spoiler alert: be sure to check out Design*Sponge {and back here} on Monday…there just might be a loft life update!

What Hue Would You Do?

If you had to pick one accent color for your home, what would it be? I’ve sat on the fence of late, jumping between poppy, navy blue and occasionally orange – it is the color of the year afterall.

But after spying a particularly stellar home tour, I’ve zeroed in on green. It seems like such a friendly color. And you should began any home design with the goal of it feeling friendly, right?!
While the velvet chesterfield-esque couch is certainly handsomely green focal point, {I give it bonus points for its contrast piping}, I’m actually more smitten with that minty-green side table. I’s the perfect piece to draw the eye to an otherwise dark, and probably forgotten little corner. I just might have to track one down to add a little green goodness to the loft life.
I wouldn’t say no to one of the Stow & Davis teak chairs though! You can check out the rest of this amazing home on Design*Sponge.

Wedding Wednesday {What Your Shoes Say About You}

Do you know the best thing about wedding shoes? They’re one of the few things from your big day that you can wear again! So it behooves you to choose wisely luvies. And oh, the choices that you have!

What do you think your shoes say about you? Might I venture a guess with a few of my latest faves….

I like to consider my wedding shoe choice as that of a delightfully daring bride. They’ve certainly brought a bit of a mischievous smile to my face every time I’ve put them on since. In fact, I think they’re going to have to make another appearance on the evening of our two-year {eek} wedding anniversary in a just few weeks!

Now that I think about it, that’s really the best way to approach your decision making, all you brides-to-be. Try to pick something you’re going to want to wear two, and preferably ten, years from now!

Happy hunting luvies,
