4:00 PM Fashion Fix {Sole Mates}

As the warmer temps of spring tease and taunt, the opportunity to break out a few pairs of new spring shoes are tempting me too.  I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond ready to say good-bye to my boots for awhile! I recently discovered a great resource for shoes for men and women, called The Horse.

Their  sandals and loafers are rather sassy and the men’s brogues quite dapper. Or perhaps I’m just smitten by their sweet names, like the Mavis, the Betty and the Ida. They’d pair  so perfectly with the Leo, the Edward or the Jack1

I think the Gertrude would add a great pep to my step and I know the hubby would look so handsome in the Ernest, with the accompanying spring ensemble of course.

I guess I’ll have to wait until the spring showers subside for now!

Tasty Tuesday {NYC Treat}

It’s been entirely too long since we featured a drool worthy interior around here. So today I’m putting foodie fun on the back burner, {even though I am planning on making this fab snack this afternoon!} and instead substituting in an equally delicious interior.

The New York City apartment’s recent feature on the cover of Architectural Digest had me at hello.

AD writer Brad Goldfarb lives with his partner Alfredo Paredes, an interior designer at Ralph Lauren in an East Village apartment that can only be described as the ultimate hidden gem. The play off classic Americana shows. As does the grand scale. Oh mami. But it was their outdoor entertaining space that really got me ravenous. What I wouldn’t give to throw nightly dinner parties on that deck.

Wonder if our neighbors would mind if I took over our rooftop?? I’m sure no one would notice, right…

If you’re hungry for more images of this mouthwatering decor, you can check them out right here.

Monday Work Wear {Dazzled by Day Dresses}

The benefits of a dress are pretty obvious. Complete look in one item of clothing. Check. Comfortable and easy. Check. And yet, as a self-professed lover of pants, I’ve resisted embracing the dress. I just could never seem to feel at ease in them.

That is, until the day dress came back onto the scene in a big way. {I believe we have Mad Men to thank for it}. They are officially my work wear dream come true!

Elegant, mature, and yet with a modern twist. They are the ultimate combination of ease and sophistication, no mixing and matching required. It’s one stop shopping at it’s best!
While the styles and colors may vary, there are a few key elements that you want to keep your eye out for.
So luvies, it’s time to kick your LBD to the curb. You only need to invest in one dress this season!
Here’s to an especially dapper week,
PS: If you’re in the market for a new dress or another luxurious splurge, check out Edition01. Right now they’re offering $100 credit when you sign up and the opportunity to win another $250 just for a simple repin! They asked me to help spread the word – check out the details here.
