Wedding Board Contest: Creativity Wanted

Wedding fairs are all too often tired. Boring. Brutal, in a word. However, the wedding pros in Northern California have changed all that. They do it up right, let me tell ya.

Last year I was thrilled to play a small role in the inaugural fete called The Lab {I modeled wedding dresses by Sarah Seven – evidence is here!} that brought together some of the most amazing photographers, event stylists, florists, chefs, bakers and creatives that wine country ever did see. They’re all in one spectacular place – a wine barrel room in Sonoma for you to meet and party down with!

Thankfully, The Labis making a triumphant return for 2013 and I swear, even if you’re not a bride-to-be it’s well worth the price of admission!

But of course, I’ve got a treat for you. You have the opportunity to join this amazing creative community and make your mark on The Lab.

We’ve teamed up to host a Pinterest contest that is the perfect way to get your creative juices flowing and get some awesome prizes too.

Here’s what it takes to enter:

~ Head to Pinterest and create the wedding board of your dreams.
~ Name your board, just be sure to include The Lab 2013 in the title.

~ Pin away! Your dream wedding profile needs at least 10 images.
~ Just be sure that once you’ve created your board, you comment with a link to it on this blog post!

Oh and did I fail to mention the prize pack? It’s stacked!

The winning board will receive:
~ Ban.do Rose and 2 Pom Poms ($70 value)
~ Your Pinterest board brought to life by an awesome team of designers at The Lab, 2013
~ 2 Free Tickets to The Lab 2013
~ One of the awesome swag bags (if you are not local, they’ll send you the goodies)

You have to act fast though – you only have until Friday, August 31 to create your board and the winner will be announced on September 3! Feel free to snag any inspiration from my Wedded Bliss board that you’d like!

Happy pinning luvies,

Live Here, Decorate With This

For this installment of Tasty Tuesday, we’re cooking up yummy goodies, no oven required!

Last week I got to head to a celebration for The Curiosity Shoppe, a San Francisco-based boutique known for their one-of-kind housewares and impeccable taste. I’m so excited that their design savvy has now jumped on onto the national stage.

Target tapped up Shoppe owners Lauren and Derek to join only four other boutiques from around the country to design special capsule collections – what they’re calling The Shops at Target and everything is set to launch next week!

Fave Anthology Magazine decided this need a proper celebration and so threw a fete in the Curiosity Shoppe’s honor. I had a ball, not only because of the tasty treats served {instagram has evidence, search #shopsatTGT & there are more party pics here}, but because we had the opportunity to preview the Curiosity Shoppe’s entire line!
Everything we saw had a whimsical tone with a nod to classic Americana, but this was coupled with serious functionality. I had my eye on some super cute measuring cups that would immediately make their home prominently displayed on my kitchen counter.

The collection is the inspiration for the latest installment of Live Here, Decorate With This!
Fun right?! The line does go well beyond kitchen accessories, dabbling in pillows, decor, outdoor entertaining and gifts, but I’m always a sucker for the latest cute tool.

Huge congratulations to Lauren and Derek – I suspect the crowds to be big for the September 9 launch! I just wish the line at the door would come with the mini bourbon+milk sips with cookie dunkers they served at the party!
