Happy {Serenity Now} Weekend

Phew, Friday. Just in time. Has anyone else had a roller coaster of a week??

You can feel at the top of your game, and then you’re kicked back down just as quickly. Funny how life works.

This crazy jungle we call content creation, online marketing, entrepreneurship {notice how I failed to call it blogging, let’s move past that people, the term is used to hold us down imho!} is a world that can wreak havoc on your emotions and yet seem petty and small at the same time.

It can be a frustrating, gut wrenching, confidence shattering experience that leaves you questioning…pretty much everything. But then the husband found this for me. And after reading it, I felt better. Much better.

And so I share said piece with you, dear friends, in the hopes that you might find some truth in it too. Warning: it’s a long read, but Worth.It.

While it’s kind of impossible to sum this up better than The Oatmeal just did, I think my overall message is a “if at first, try, try again” one. And do so in a vacuum on occasion. Because I still firmly believe comparison is the thief of all joy. Even though it’s really hard not to do it.

So rock what you do. hard. And I will too. That is all.

Till Monday,

I LOVE the Oatmeal, and I LOVE Apartment 34. So I thought I’d share another excellent site that I think Erin would love, and I am sure her followers will as well. The site is called Hyperbole and a Half, and the writer/illustrator is genius.

    Two of my favorites here:

    1. Reasons why I will never be an adult

    2. Dogs don’t understand basic concepts like moving (Erin, maybe you can relate to this one?)

Best to all of you and your loved ones,

  9. Love this! Thank you for sharing!! Enjoy your weekend!! xo
