If there wasn’t enough going on around here, we decided to host family at the loft 2.0 for Thanksgiving.
Oy.
While this isn’t my first time cooking for a major holiday, I wouldn’t say whipping out gourmet meals and beautiful tables just rolls right off my fingertips. I’ve got to put my back into it a bit. So I’m a big fan of anything that can make it all a little easier.
Things like Three Babes Bake pies. You might remember them them from this shoot I styled for Rue Magazine awhile ago. Well the Babes are back, cooking up a special batch of holiday pies for people who love crossing things off their list as much as they love a good dessert!
As always, all of the Babes’ ingredients – dairy, dry goods, nuts, fruit, all of them! – are organic and sustainably raised. The Babes buy many of their staples directly from farms in our area.
Here’s what’s on their Thanksgiving Day pie menu {I really don’t know how they expect us to decide!}:
I do not call this cheating. I call this being smart people.
So head here to put in your order! You’ve got to do it today if you’d like your pie shipped to you. Those of us lucky enough to live in the Bay Area still have until Nov. 16 to order a pie for local pick-up, but there’s only 50 of each variety, first come, first serve. Use the Discount Code Apartment34 and you’ll get 10% off your order!
Thanks for bailing me out of one Thanksgiving duty Babes! It’ll be our little secret.

Haha love this! I am actually going to attempt baking a pie this year for Thanksgiving but this is usually what I do!
Um, total respect. I didn’t realize till last Easter how much easier it is when you allow yourself to buy at least one thing, instead of making everything from scratch. And no one complains

Oh man – chess pie is a family tradition, but I’ve never had a lemon version. Color me officially intrigued!
So glad I found your blog! I love this shot so much. =]
Good luck hosting dinner! It can be a riot sometimes…..
Yum! Hey Apartment 34, I thought you might be interested in this CUTE Etsy shop for the Holidays! Perfect buys for the those hard to buy for people on your list! Check it out here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ToodlesToTheNoodles
The bittersweet chocolate pecan would be my pick too. It would be the perfect ending to a delicious and savory meal. I also think it would look stunning on this table: http://www.umastewart.com/blog/2012/11/15/tablescape-abundant-thanksgving/
