A New Year So Hot…

Well, it’s official. The end of another remarkable year. 2012 brought more surprises and challenges than I ever thought possible. How about you? Despite all the tumult, I must say I’m a little sad to see the year go.

But saying so long will be made a bit easier by wearing my shades on the beaches of Mexico!

That’s right, as you read this I’m seated on a plane, off to take a bit of an impromptu, but much needed, beach-bound break. {And yes, I do nearly have that many pairs of sunglasses to choose from, but I’d happily add any of the above options to my collection!!}

But do not fear, I won’t be leaving you high and dry while I attempt to learn to surf. A few friendly faces will be dropping in to say hi. In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful start to your New Year.

Elle Decor’s Best Rooms of 2012

As we say tah-tah to 2012, it’s all about the countdowns and best of’s. There’s literally one out there for every interest. Elle Decor jumped into the game by asking a bevy of style mavens to pick their favorite spaces of the year and I was thrilled to join the likes of Aphrochic, Design Blahg, I Suwannee and RamshakleGlam!

Having just put the final touches on the debut Apartment 34 offices, it’s no surprise that after thumbing through all of Elle Decor’s feature rooms, it was this home-office that caught my eye.

Sleek, sophisticated and in multiple lovely shades of the Apartment 34 signature color, this Elle Decor Show House office was designed by Mathew Patrick Smyth and was made for seriously stylish business.

I don’t know what I love more, the floating shelves, Hermès wallpaper or statement-making desk. While I looovve my new office, this space is seriously calling my name.

A Perfect End-of-the-Week Treat {Under $50!}

Hi luvies – I hope you’ve been enjoying the post-Christmas lull! I’ve been indulging in some serious downtime with family and friends, but I wanted to drop in with a hot tip: right now is the perfect time to snag a little something special for yourself!
