The fact is, this disregard for animals usually translates into a disergard for humans as well. While I don’t like to “preach’ because certainly America suffers from it’s own issues, the fact is, many countries and peoples could learn from how we view animals (generally) and perhaps not act so savage and backwards towards ANY living being. I do believe how a country treats it’s animals is a barometer for how civilized it is. In this case, not so much.
