Fashion Fantasy: Paradise Found

It’s back! An escape into the fantastical world of fashion. For the second installment of Fashion Fantasy {you can see the first experiment here} Emily and I joined forces again, this time to take a tropical getaway…that may have only been a block or two from the loft!

We took our inspiration from these deliciously saturated international Vogue covers. I love that there’s nearly 50 years between them.

It was the perfect muse for the assignment from Polyvore: to play with new spring collection from Meredith Wendell, a member of Polyvore’s new Designer Collective! This season Meredith Wendell put an ultra-modern spin on the American classic: the backpack.

If you haven’t met Meredith Wendell yet, the NYC-based husband and wife design team have been spinning out statement-making jewelry and accessories for the past few seasons.

For spring they took inspiration straight from neon saturated streetstyle {you can see it coming full circle, captured by Garance Dore right here and Tommy Ton right here!}.

I had the distinct pleasure of recently meeting the designers during NYFW and found out Wendell is from my home state. You really never know where life will take you!

I do know that if your spring wardrobe needs a pick-me-up, the Meredith Wendell Collection is the perfect addition!
