Stairs are a difficult and oft-neglected part of a home. They’re usually built for function and are regularly a decorating dud. But rather than try to get your stairway to recede, why not make it your home’s design standout?!
I give you Pantone-d stairs!
I’m so loving this Idea to Steal. You can admire the evolution of your favorite hue as you ascend your stairs. Brilliant right??
This killer staircase is in the home of Dutch fashion and furniture designer Marly Gommans. It appears to be the only pop of color in her minimalist, monochromatic space {after my own Dutch heart!}.
If only I could take a paint brush to the loft’s stairway. I would love to see various shades of my favorite soothing gray as I head to bed each night.
What do you think? Is this an idea that you would steal?

This is a freaking brilliant idea!
I love this idea! I’d like to do it in a grey colour scheme or maybe something a little brighter, like peachy pink.
Very inspiring, thanks for sharing!

Would absolutely steal this idea! Fantastic, love it! Would look great leading down to
this classic chair at the bottom of the stairs – very contemporary.
