Rug Love

Finding the perfect rug can be a daunting task. They can change the tone of a room in an instant. I’m loving the statement that the mix of kilim and print rugs are making in this seriously gorgeous home.

Even though the space is filled with a variety of vintage and rustic wood furniture {hello stunning coffee table!}, the cool palette and white washed walls feel incredibly modern and fresh.

An added bonus of a print rug? When you introduce a multi-colored focal point into your room, you suddenly give yourself permission to play with a new variety of colors. That’s why that red side table works in the dining room above.

We stuck with a relatively neutral color story for the Loft, but these rugs have already got me thinking about an update!

Are you a fan of brightly patterned rugs?

  1. I love a bright rug! Such an easy way to add character to a room

  2. yes, completely! A rug makes such a difference. A more patterned one feels like a less stressful decision for your home too because you’re not choosing one solid color rug. Then you feel like you’re making that color the theme for the room and that’s too much pressure :)

  3. I like the subtle pops of color, they add a little personality without being over the top.

  4. Total fan. And I love the black and white frame around the second image.

Have a cutie little Etsy/Valentine’s Day giveaway on my blog at the moment…check it out and enter! xx
