I can’t believe how many times I have walked around one of my favorite San Francisco neighborhoods, Hayes Valley, shopping the boutiques and enjoying some of the best food in the city, but somehow missed Reliquary every single time. Thankfully, as luck would have it I recently parked my car just off the main street, and directly in front of this sweet little shop.

Reliquary is too good to be kept in hiding, so I had to share my discovery for our latest Retail Therapy!

The shop may occupy a small space, but it is filled to the brim with treasures. They have cases of vintage and artisanal jewelry, from big chunky ceramic necklaces to daintier Indian gold rings. You can spend forever oohing and awing at them!

There is no denying that I love me some denim. So it’s no surprise their denim selection stopped me in my tracks. They have vintage Levi’s styles that people go crazy trying to find in thrift stores. It’s true, they just don’t make them like they used to. You just can’t beat the quality, feel and structure. This vintage denim jacket clearly needed a home in my closet! Done and done.

Reliquary also has amazing home goods. I bought three of their vases and used them as pencil holders on the kid’s workspace in the Sunset Magazine Office design. Candles, bowls, art books and heavy Navajo blankets are so hard to resist!

It’s also hard to find places that stock Clare Vivier {who is the IT designer of the year!}. Thankfully, her clutches, tote bags and coin purses are all here! Eenie, meenie, miney, mo…which color do I need now…so dangerous!!

If you happen to be in Hayes Valley, you need to stop at this shop. You’ll walk out feeling refreshed and confident in your purchase, just as I did. I’ve worn my vintage Levi’s denim jacket over everything!

Live in San Francisco or planning to visit? You’ll have to check out my other favorite boutiques as well!
