Do you ever pass a pastry case filled to the brim with beautiful creations and wonder just how in the heck do they do that?! As the cook, not the baker in this family, I’ve always been a bit intimidated by the baking, but especially by the decorating process! It’s definitely not where my creative strengths lie. Let’s just put this way – my holiday cookies are often mistaken for abstract art.

For once, I’d like to make something that looks like this!!

Is there anything more decident looking? I’d happily induldge in a perfectlly coiffed sweet treat on a lazy Sunday afternoon – wouldn’t you?! Especially when they come with names like Espresso Bean, S’mores and Chocolate Graham Cracker!

Drooling yet? Well, you and I are both in luck. I introduced you to my friend Jennifer Shea of Trophy Cupcakes a few weeks back. Her debut book is a great manual for the the aspiring cupcake baker {and party-maker!}. However, I know I could use some more hands-on work – and this week I’ve got my shot! Jennifer is bringing her trade secrets to San Francisco!

Makeshift Society {the ultimate Creatives’ playhouse} is hosting Jennifer for a one-night only Cupcake Decorating Workshop – immediately followed by Jennifer’s next best skill – throwing a fabulous party!

If you’re in the Bay Area, this is your chance to give a Trophy Cupcake a try for yourself {she’s handmaking all of them just for you that day my dears!!}. Oh and of course there will be bubbly and a signed copy of Trophy Cupcakes & Parties! waiting for you.

All the details are in the invite below!
