Why It’s Worth It: {Put Your Best Boot Forward}

When it comes to your wardrobe, figuring out where to spend and where to save can be tricky, especially since there are so many cute trends and cheap thrills out there. However, every time I succumb, the lesson repeats itself over and over again: buy less, choose well. I’m happy to report that so far this year, I’m staying on track on buying quality over quantity with the help of our new Why It’s Worth It series!

A couple of weeks ago we talked about the importance of having a beautifully made sweater in your closet. It will leave you looking good winter after winter. Today we take on another of my must-haves: a hard-working casual boot!

A casual brown boot is definitely a place you want to invest and here’s why: it goes with everything and instantly adds a chic but comfortable ease to your outfit. If you’re not careful, it can become a daily uniform! When shopping for any everyday boot, go for brown not black- the softer color is much easier to pair with spring’s lighter hues and transitions from season to season perfectly.

If I had to pick one pair to love above all the rest, these Rag and Bone booties are it! First, the stacked heel is the perfect height- you can run around checking errands of your list and still feel comfortable. Second, the waxed brown leather is ideal for rainy days and will give the boots a lovely patina over time.

There is a reason these booties are stocked all year long- they transcend seasons {layer up now with a leather jacket & jumbo scarf and flirt them up with a shift dress at a summer BBQ!}. They truly are the perfect casual boot and SO worth it!

Here are a few perfect pieces to compliment your casual bootie!

    love this fun new series (and your bootie pick!) i want to find something similar with a (SLIGHTLY) lower heel, since this one might be too much for me to handle. xo

  2. I love this series! My frugal husband thought I was INSANE when I bought my Tory Burch riding boots (although they were on sale for $350 instead of $500), but I wear them constantly and know they will last forever! Definitely worth the investment! :)

    • A pair of riding boots is definitely a lifelong friend! Well done, Sarah!

    Who manufactures the carry on bag? I love the color!
