Hi friends, hope you’ve enjoyed your short week! Mine has looked a little bit like the image above. I’ve intentionally kep the baby updates few and far between as I didn’t think that’s what most of you come to Apartment 34 for. I am pleased to report that I’m starting to come out of my newborn haze. But let me tell ya, it wasn’t until about week six of this whole new-mama thing that I felt like I had my wits about me at ALL!. All you ladies with babies out there, I bow down to you. I now understand why they come out cute! But every smile makes the lack of sleep disappear. It’s a pretty amazing experience. You can get a little sneak peek of our new life with baby here. And if you do want more posts about what I’ve discovered about motherhood thus far, do let me know! For now I don’t plan on inundating you with mommy-related stuff.

What are you up to this weekend? Karl the Fog has returned to San Francisco with a vengeance so I’m thinking pajamas, baby snuggles and a TV binge session might be in store for us. I’ve been watching Veep and House of Cards while I’m glued to my glider – I’m a bit of a political junkie. What shows are you been obsessing over lately??

Here are a few other things that caught my eye {around 3am!} this week!!

> The saturated colors in this space are making me swoon.

> Loving this tasteful take on nude art.

> We’re encountering a major summer wanderlust flare-up after seeing this.

> And this.

> It’s Peony season! Their lifespan is so fascinating.

This; because anything with a full serving of fruit is considered a health food by our standards..

> We hosted a little winemakers dinner this week. You can see all the fun at #finefriendsfinewine

> Four words: Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale. It’s not too late to grab crazy good deals on summer clothes! We have our eyes on these, this and this.

> Oh and Net-a-Porter just launched their sale too! It’s rather dangerous, but your closet will thank you!

  1. I also had a baby 9 weeks ago…
And i totally get it, that is me above as well!!
    And the nights……….oh the nights!

    Xo

  2. I think it’s awesome that you don’t talk about your baby very often and don’t post a lot of pictures. I think sometimes when moms do that, they lose their own sense of identity and forget what they were like before they had the baby. My kids are older than your son (2 and 9) and I see so many moms struggle to figure out who they are later on. I admire that you are able to keep him a little bit separate. I do enjoy seeing you being chic and stylish as a mom though and pushing him in that stroller.

    1. That’s kinda where my head is at Lamesha. This is my me space – baby takes over so much of your life – it’s nice to carve out some space for your own thoughts. But I’ll be sure to share some updates now and then!

  3. you know, i never gave it much thought.it came naturally and expected to see some baby posts, since you are now a mama. i get this is not a baby blog, but it is about you. like in other bloggers, it would not bother me at all to see some posts/photos, considering i have a son myself and i would love to see how you style his little outfits.
    have a great day

    1. Thanks for the input Alexandra! It’s nice to know people would like to give a glimpse. I’ll plan to give updates from time to time – and you can also catch glimpses on my Instagram!

  4. I would love to see more updates about your little one AND life as a mother…I think it would actually make me come back more! Plus, I imagine you would write from a different perspective than the mainstream mommy blogs that are already available. Update away! 🙂
