I don’t know if Fall has been slow to show up in other parts of the country but our San Francisco Indian Summer has been lingering for weeks now. That is until this past weekend. Suddenly the air felt cooler, the light softer – I even spied changing leaves! It definitely had me in a fall mood. Since my days tend to revolve around a certain little someone’s nap schedule, I only managed to make it as far as my favorite neighborhood coffee shop, but I thought I might as well go all out. Even though I might not be traipsing through a pumpkin patch anytime soon that doesn’t mean I can’t look like I just came from one!

what i’m wearing: hunter boots from zappos.com // jcrew field jacket // rag & bone jeans // amour vert striped top // stowaway lipstick in scarlet // similar sunnies

I took some time Saturday morning to officially box up all my sandals for their long winter nap and broke out my new pair of Hunter Boots to gear up for the changing season. I had recently spied this new style, the Adjustable Back on Zappos.com and with the El Nino threatening this winter, I thought I better snag a pair. It’d been a while since I indulged my Zappos shoe habit {I used to get teased for the number of boxes that would show up at the office but with free shipping and free returns sometimes I just can’t help myself!}

But back to my new boots! I love the extra detail of the strap at the back – it adds a chic touch, elevating these Hunters beyond your run of the mill rain boots. I’m sure they’d still look great all banged up, but I’m loving my pristine pair!

I do plan to make my way out into the country {make that wine country!} sometime this fall, but this city girl is taking full advantage of the season’s style no matter what.
