If any US city is down right birthing out creatives, it’s Minneapolis. Who knew?! So many cool designs & brands are coming out of there right now. That’s why it was an obvious place for us to turn when we were thinking of apparel designers to potentially collaborate with on our Holiday Pop-Up Shop. We’d been long time fans of the incredible Hackwith Design House, known for their unique approach to creating timeless pieces of clothing- all sold in limited edition runs. They often create as few as eight pieces in a run, each hand signed and numbered by the person who made it. So we asked, they miraculously said yes, and basically a match was made in beautiful scarf heaven!

Wanting to design the ultimate accessory that EVERY woman could wear, keeping with HDH’s motto to create every piece with the intention of it becoming a special highlight of your closet for years and years to come, we think we pretty much nailed it. We’re all very in love with our Limited Edition {there are only 12 left!!} Oversized Gray and White Salvage Scarf!

It has been one of our most popular items in the shop thus far, and we can’t help but delight in the details of it. These handmade raw cotton blend scarves are oversized to perfection measuring in at 61’x45” {yep, we asked the team to go as big as possible!} and have a white salvage edge. The stitching, the color, the angle of the cut, the way it drapes and flows – we’re thrilled with every detail. It’s all classically beautiful, in signature HDH and Apartment 34 style! The scarf, literally, can go with anything {and we mean anything!} in your closet. The cotton blend allows you to easily transition this scarf from winter, to spring, to fall, whenever!

Not only is this scarf gorgeous to the eyes, but everything Hackwith Design House touches turns to gold, from their loose fitting tunics, to their draped tops – even their awesome collaborative workspace, The CoMN, where they design, cut, hand sew, and join forces with some of MN’s finest is drop dead gorgeous. We thought it would be fun to take a peek into the space where our scarves were made. It’s only right, ya know? Before we move into the joint! Packing. Bags. NOW.

A rented creative co-op studio space, started by Lisa Hackwith and Rita Mehta of The American Edit, The CoMN is decorated to a tee, complete with conference room, jumbo pendants over a communal desk space, copper piping to hang garments and every cute decor detail you can think of. We love that every Hackwith piece of clothing is made from start to finish right in this space by this amazing team. They have an elevated sense of style and know exactly what will look effortlessly chic on every woman!

  1. I love the white plastic chairs with the wooden table! I like to mix and match my dining room chairs, what type of chairs would you recommend for the head of this table?

  2. I am obsessed with Minneapolis/St. Paul. I went to grad school there and would love to live there again. And you are so right, so much creativity happening there. I would love this scarf. If it’s left when I have money, will definitely check it out.
