This New York townhouse is the perfect mix of high design and approachability. Home to Barney’s fashion director and her family, iconic pieces like Serge Mouille chandeliers and art by Andy Warhol are juxtaposed with touches of playful color, simple sisal rugs and cozy sofas. While I’m still a color-phobe most days, I can’t help but be drawn in by this house.

Obsessed with the Gio Ponti mirror. Thinking one might have to come to my house! And I spy velvet pillows – my fall must have.

Love the collection of herbs in terra cotta pots and natural wood elements that soften the industrial style kitchen.

Still a sucker for that little touch of pink.

But of course this monochromatic sitting area is really my jam. There’s a mix of tones and textures that keep it from feeling one note. And I can never resist an adorable side chair.

While every piece in this house certainly feels unique – that adorable smile chair was custom designed by Giancarlo Valle – nothing feels overly precious. Just absolutely gorgeous. Adding it to my inspiration files!

  1. I think my favourite part has to be the herbs in terra cota

  2. Success case of minimalism with elegant, simple, unique objects. Impressed and inspirational.

  3. The interior looks a bit minimalist and refined, true, but it’s very warm. I’m actually surprised how cozy they managed to make it.
