Some weeks begin with a jolt, the Monday mad dash ripping you out of bedding and hurtling you out into the world before you’ve even really woken up. But what if it didn’t have to be like that. What if you didn’t feel the relentless urge to answer every email, solve every problem and respond to every thumbs up, heart, comment or request. If you gave yourself the time to sit. To think. To just breath would the rest of your week feel different?

I don’t know, but I’m going to try. The frantic feeling just doesn’t serve. It doesn’t serve creativity, it doesn’t serve thoughtful work and it doesn’t serve my soul. So I’m going to try to take my┬áMondays nice and slow.

  1. That’s a nice idea, to take Mondays slowly. I’m a pedal-to-the-metal kind of woman, but since I moved to the south of France 11 years ago, I’ve been forced to slow down. And it’s good.

  2. can identify. in the world of education, that’s called taking a sick day. hope you enjoy.
