As difficult as a Monday morning can feel, and mine was extra special with a one-year old making a 5:45am wake up call, you can get your work week off to a better start simply by wearing something that puts some extra pep your step. To help break out of a closet rut, all you need to do is look at the basic pieces already in your wardrobe with fresh eyes.
I’m loving culottes but layering them under a wrap shirt dress? Genius.
Try a sleek silhouette. A classic flared jean that skims the ground will make your legs fee uber long. A subtle peplum top adds a touch of femininity and bare shoulders is the universally flattering way to show a little skin on these first warm days of the year.
I’m a sucker for all things oversized. I’m officially hunting for a pair of white wide-legged cropped pants to rock with my favorite oversized jean jacket – a wardrobe staple in my world.
I love a good button up shirt, but I like the idea of updating this basic for spring for a version with chic details like this tie at the wrist.
A statement jacket is a great investment. You can literally toss it over anything already in your wardrobe for an instant update.
What’s your favorite look to wear right now?

I love how the hem of the white shirt arrives perfectly at the hem of the pants. It looks a little bit like a bathrobe, but I bet IRL it doesn’t because you would better see that the fabric is of a shirt, not terry cloth.
I am kicking myself for getting rid of my big, blousy jean jacket.
That tie detail is fabulous.

Agree with you! I think dress over pants look is pretty great in person. And totally reinvest in another oversized jean jacket. You’ll never regret it!
Loving the gingham motorcycle jacket
