After a lightening speed 48-hour trip to New York Fashion Week, it’s only obvious what I have on the brain {along with being almost brain dead. Man this city tires you out right quick!}. Thankfully, I captured a little of that NYC-vibe on camera for you!

You see, there’s a tired old fashion rule that says white is passé after Labor Day. Designers have recently begun ignoring it {whites were very big on Fall 2013 runways} and I just witnessed proof positive that white is sticking around in a major way. It was on everybody, and I’m right there with ’em, firmly championing the cause. As a huge white lover there’s no way I’m saying goodbye to my white pants until next May!

Need further proof that white can work in cooler weather?! I teamed up with photography phenom Emily Johntson to illustrate how white can in fact be rocked in the off season!

An all white look is timeless, understated yet still dramatic. It calls for a second glance but not in a show-offy way. I anchored my white ensemble around a structured navy “sweatshirt” by Maison Martin Margiela. I love the structured cut and strong shoulder – it takes white from feeling casual and summery to serious and ready for business!

I’m hoping to have some sneak peeks of my fashion week{end} outfits, which included even more ways to wear white, in the next day or two. I just need a little time recoup from the fashion overload! I do hope you’ll forgive me.

What do you think of this trend? Are you ready to rock your whites all year long?
