One of my favorite things about summer? Sitting back, relaxing and enjoying a lovely glass of rosé on a warm afternoon. Or really any wine for that matter. Since beginning my wine education when I lived abroad in Italy in college, I’ve amassed quite a catalog of favorite wines I’ve tried over the years. And while it’s easy to get lazy and grab a bottle of whatever is on special at your local bodega, I’ve been wanting to be a little more intentional about the wines I drink. MIN-0FE-GNA-007_A_APZ

So I’m pretty excited to share that eBay is now selling wine! It’s no longer just the place to score killer home decor and furniture or a coveted handbag. eBay celebrated the launch with their own wine tasting event up at Napa’s BottleRock festival last week. Chef Michael Voltaggio created modern bites to pair with the wine, and everyone was having a grand time.

Shopping for wine on eBay is pretty cool and really simple. You can browse collectible, rare and everyday wines based on varietal, region, price point, many at “Buy It Now” prices so you can score a good deal. And the selection is pretty impressive. The site is currently offering more than 10,000 different wines from all parts of the world so you’re very likely to find something you like.

For example, I was thrilled to discover a bottle of my hands down favorite wine Matthiasson. The owner/winemaker was actually awarded winemaker of the year by the San Francisco Chronicle in 2014 and was just nominated for a James Beard award. Matthiasson wines are made in an old world style meaning they’re not too heavy on oak or overly tannic. Both the Sauvignon Blanc and the Rosé (my personal fave) are light, crisp with good acidity. They’re not distributed in many stores and they don’t have a tasting room so finding a Matthiasson is a bit like finding a wine unicorn!

I was also really excited to see that eBay Wine enables you to purchase wine and ship to almost anywhere in the U.S. – meaning I can buy or send a typically hard to find bottle as a gift. Here are six wines I currently have my eye on. You can get steals for $20-$30 or be a baller and get a bottle at $200 or more.

If you feel a little less confident about picking wines, eBay features expert guides and tips by entertaining and lifestyle expert Maureen Petrosky and sommelier and winemaker Andre Hueston Mack, highlighting seasonal and emerging wine trends and must-have accessories – making the shopping process fun and easy.

Now that we’re getting settled into our house, maybe I should start a little wine tasting club. It would be a fun way to get friends to come over and check out our place! If you have any favorite rosés or really any varietal that I should know about please tell me in comments. I’m always looking to add to my must-try list.

Happy weekend friends!
