No, not that September issue {I’ve finally gotten through to the end of mine – it took two weeks!} I’m talking about Sunset Magazine! It’s finally here! I cannot lie, it’s pretty dang thrilling to see months of hard work {a full six to be exact} come to fruition and into print. I keep on pinching myself because it feels so surreal to see something I created on a glossy page. It was such a crazy, fun, ridiculously challenging opportunity – and I am so relieved the final result didn’t turn out to be a total hot mess!

I hope you pick yourself up a copy of the issue to see the wonderful feature on the entire Sunset Reimagined Home and the rest of the incredible designers; Brian, Vanessa, Morgan and Daniel, who took part in it. For now, here’s a sneak peek of the article and the reveal of my finished rooms {finally!}!

Once again, I want to thank every designer, artist and brands {some featured here, here, here and here!} that helped these rooms come together. That was my favorite part – getting to work with awesome makers like Los Angeles-based Cuff Home that was responsible for the insanely cool rope-wrapped bubble chandelier in the den, Sara Paloma Pottery who supplied me with stunning accessories, and Crooked Nest who were my plant geniuses. Freda Salvador even lent me a rug off their store’s floor! That is only the tiniest sample of all the generous people who contributed. The moment we all have been waiting for is here and it feels so good!

What the heck is the Sunset Reimagined Home you ask? Get all the deets right here!

  1. Erin, your room was amazing. My husband, three-year-old, and I all found elements that we coveted, and that’s saying *a lot* for the universal appeal of this space. It was chic, livable, beautiful, and so, so interesting. Thanks for rocking it for Sunset!

    1. That’s definitely what I had in mind during the design process–a place where even the kids felt comfortable and creative!
