Let’s talk about stepping out of your comfort zone. It’s never easy, but you can often be surprised by the outcome!

You all know by now that when it comes to my comfort level with personal style, I stick to the basics, rarely gravitate towards feminine lines and will pick pants over a dress every time!! But with the glitz of the holiday season fast approaching , I thought it would be fun to challenge my style for a day and see how it felt. Why not try and get my glam on?

I called on good friend Julia, the queen of gorgeous feminine taste from aptly titled Gal Meets Glam, to help me out and she was game! We decided to go one step further; she would style me and vice versa. We headed to the brand new Scoop NYC on Grant Street in San Francisco and got to shopping, I for Julia and she for me. We had too much fun together breaking one another out of our comfort zones!

I have to admit I loved my look. It was classic and chic, but the addition of the a metallic-edged bag and lace-lined heels kept me from feeling too sweet or precious. I actually felt pretty fierce! I realized you can still rock a strong attitude in a softer look. I also loved how Julia’s mens-wear inspired ensemble turned out, but you’ll have to head to Gal Meets Glam to find out what she thought.
